Personally I feel like the mixed reviews for this book are based on the expectation of what the reader thinks the story will be about. Personally, I enjoy non-fiction books that discusses deep personal issues and traumatic experiences because it opens my eyes to the different possibilities to what life could have been like for me.
I mean, did she think that at some point her mother would listen to her?? Brisoce we may tend to think that we have lead loveless childhoods in whatever cnstance and through whatever experiences, rbiscoe her story has opened by eyes and made me overwhelmingly grateful. I am skeptical of some of the claims for some reason and the book is written with about the same emotion as someone reporting the weather.
