You can blame David Hobbyat least a little bit. A bunch of them seem to require an assistant and that’s not something I can aspire to any time soon. Coming in as an absolute beginner to the world of flashes this was an invaluable read. As you say, being persistent helps in this business. Having I read this mnally I will forever view photographs differently. Keep the posts and books coming as time permits. It demonstrates that you don’t need to invest the kids’ college fund in expensive studio lighting equipment in order to achieve the results you desire.
This book w This was fine but really is no more than a series of anecdotes. And the hot shoe diaries by joe mcnally diagrams, I found the sketches he posted in some chapters way more clear than long winded descriptions of where the flashes were.

Most importantly, he knows how to create it I see a Christmas gift for my self in the future, hehe. I’m more comfortable personally in manual than I am letting the camera control the flash, but like he says, it’s like buying a sports car and driving it 20 in the grandma lane.
