One star is maybe a bit harsh because Caroline is admittedly quite funny and the half of the plot which isn’t ridiculous is kind of clever, but Braden is possibly the blandest hero in all of historical romance, and most of this book is carried out under the umbrella of infidelity, so I’m going to do it anyway.

Educating Caroline certainly isn’t anything particularly remarkable, but nevertheless very enjoyable. And she keeps protesting, but eventually accepts it.
This is a novel more about relationships between people than it is a heavily contexualized, historically-detailed tale with all sorts of tidbits about the time years ago. I did not care educatign Braden and Caroline, together or apart, and I’m still unconvinced that they love each other.

This book sucked so much just reiterating it made me take a star off my review, one star for wasting my flipping time!! One might almost call it love. I got to second base! On the Way to the Wedding with 2nd Epilogue.
The worst of it, though is the ease with which the hero moves through society, and the fact that the heroine’s father, who was a plumber who invented a hot water system, was made an earl. Or like each other. I felt like some chick lit, and spotted a Meg Cabot novel on the iBooks sale list – it was a light, fluffy, funny thing I’d already read in high school.
Educating Caroline is a hidden gem which deserves to be a lot better known than it is. I can tell she’s really enjoying it. Consequently I bought this book along with two others, because I love Meg Cabot. And then the woman is all “How dare you?! Cabot aka Meg Cabot and Jenny Carroll is a writer of remarkable skill, and it’s only a matter of time before her historical romances are embraced as readily as her young adult titles The Princess Diaries; The Mediator.
